ROSEDALE — A man was struck and killed on the Belt Parkway over the weekend, according to the New York Police Department.
Police said officers responded to a call of a pedestrian struck on the Belt Parkway in the vicinity of Francis Lewis Boulevard Dec. 14 around 6 p.m. Upon their arrival, police found an unidentified man in his 50s with body trauma, the NYPD said.
The man was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.
Upon investigation, officers found the man had been crossing the Belt Parkway from south to north when he was struck by a black Toyota Camry operated by a 60-year-old woman driving westbound.
She remained at the scene and there was no criminality suspected in the case, police said.
