Right after Superstorm Sandy hit the East Coast, many New Yorkers volunteered their time and money to relief efforts.
But one Sunnyside man, Mickey McCreesh, has helped those affected in the Rockaways and Breezy Point every Saturday since the first weekend after the storm. While McCreesh has a cultural connection to many Rockaways and Breezy Point residents, he says it’s not just abovimeo.comut helping other Irish. Everybody, no matter their background, needs help. And that’s who Sunnyside volunteers are helping. Everyone they can.
