The stage of I.S. 93’s auditorium became a dance floor for the students of the Ridgewood school’s dance program last Friday, Feb. 15, as they performed the bachata and salsa before an audience of students and faculty. As noted, the program members-as well as I.S. 93 Principal Ed Santos-took turns on the stage in performing the bachata, a rhythmic dance which originated in the Dominican Republic, under the guidance of instructors Jacqueline Gavilan and Christopher Molina.
