Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a money-hungry bandit who held up a sandwich shop in Bushwick early last Tuesday morning, Feb. 26. According to the NYPD, the perpetrator-described as a black male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with the word “PARK” written on the back-robbed the Subway shop located at 1432 Myrtle Ave. at 3:15 a.m. last Tuesday. Reportedly, the crook ordered a sandwich and, as an employee began to prepare it, displayed a box cutter and demanded money from the register. Authorities said the worker complied with the request and handed a sum of cash to the thief, who fled from the scene. Members of the 83rd Precinct and EMS units responded; there were no injuries.
