Flying High at Queens Pride Parade

Men and women of all sexual orientations marched in the Queens Pride Parade Sunday, June 2, to show their support for the LGBTQ community. The parade, which ran along 37th Avenue between 85th and 75th Streets in Jackson Heights, culminated in a multi-cultural festival that celebrated the event’s theme: “Equality. Everyday. Everyone.” Pictured are cheerleaders from Queer New York performing for the crowd. The Times Newsweekly was among the sponsors of the parade.
