(Updated) A bicyclist was seriously injured when a vehicle slammed into him in Woodside this morning, police said.
The cyclist, who has not been identified, was riding near Broadway and Northern Boulevard when he was struck at about 2:00 a.m., according to police. The driver of the vehicle left the scene before the police arrived, cops said.
The victim was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition.
Authorities believe the driver was in a dark-colored car, possibly a livery cab.
