Woman dies in Woodhaven crash: Police

WOODHAVEN — A North Massapequa, L.I., woman died after the vehicle she was driving struck a light pole in Woodhaven, police said.

Theresa Venezia, 66, was behind the wheel of a 2012 Nissan Sentra northbound on Woodhaven Boulevard when she lost control of the car and hit the pole near 89th Avenue, the NYPD said.

Venezia, who was the only person in the Nissan, was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to police.
