Police officer charged with menacing: NYPD

ELMHURST — An off-duty police officer was arrested last week and charged with threatening a southeast Queens woman, according to the NYPD and the New York Post.

Christopher Harris was suspended after he was arrested July 26 and charged with menacing, police said.

A southeast Queens woman said she “fear[ed] for her safety” after Harris, an acquaintance of hers, allegedly threatened her, the Post reported.

The exact nature of the alleged threats were not clear, the newspaper said.
