EAST ELMHURST — A 71-year-old woman behind the wheel of a Nissan Sentra died after her vehicle hit another sedan, crossed several lanes of traffic and slammed into a median on the Grand Central Parkway Saturday, police said.
The NYPD said Woodside resident Gloria Orozco was taken to Elmhurst Hospital after the crash at 11:55 p.m. and pronounced dead.
There was no one else inside the woman’s car and no other injuries were reported in connection with the accident near 94th Street, authorities said.
The investigation was ongoing, police said.
