Sunnyside Arch

Sunnyside will officially usher in the holiday season Tuesday with a tree lighting scheduled to take place under the Sunnyside Arch on 46th Street and Queens Boulevard.
The LaGuardia Choir will open up proceedings at 6 p.m., followed by the Sunnyside Drum Corp at 6.15 p.m. Santa Claus is also expected to make an appearance for the many kids that are sure to be in attendance.
Elected officials City Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer and State Sen. Mike Gianaris are also slated for an appearance.
