Hundreds of people, many dressed as Santa, took to the streets of Sunnyside on Saturday night to take part in an event that mixed fundraising with a good old fashioned pub crawl.

The attendees paid $10 for a bracelet (for charity) and were offered select drinks for $3 at 10 bars—in and around Queens Blvd. Over the course of the evening, there were Santas playing beer pong, singing karaoke and shooting pool throughout the area.

The attendees had a street map containing the 10 participating establishments—and bounced from place to place hoping to have a drink at each location before the night was through.

While many were dressed as Santas–or at least donned Santa hats– a handful dressed as elves. The partygoers were largely men and women in their 30s.

The event, which occurred without incident, helped raise more than $6,700. The funds are being spent on toys, which will be split among St. Teresa’s, St. Raphael’s and the 108 Police Precinct’s toy drives.

Some toys will also be going to an orphanage in Brooklyn and a homeless shelter.
