Behind every great Mr. Met there is a Mrs. Met and she’s back.
Gone for a few years, the better half of the iconic Mr. Met appeared at Citi Field recently, surprising fans, many of which may have never even known she existed.
Mrs. Met was apparently on sabbatical from the team, but will make regular appearances at the field, joining her husband to root the team on through a turbulent season.
“Mrs. Met has been busy taking care of her family at home in Flushing, Queens and working part-time as an event planner,” said team representatives.
Mrs. Met was first introduced in the 1970s and made a brief appearance in 2005. Old photos and even an ESPN commercial show the couple together with their three kids; two children and an infant.
