Bushwick Discount Store Held Up
Police are searching for two men who held up a 99-cent store in Bushwick last Monday, Jan. 20, law enforcement officials announced.
The stickup went down at about 9:17 p.m. in the 99 Cents & Gifts Bodega at 162 Irving Ave., when two masked assailants burst in, flashed a gun and started punching the 52- year-old clerk in the face, according to police sources.
Reportedly, the suspects took off with $1,000.
Police described one of the robbers as a white or Hispanic male last seen wearing a black jacket, black book bag and a black mask.
The second suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male standing about 6′-tall and weighing 180 lbs. who was last seen wearing a black jacket, black bag and a black mask, law enforcement officials said.
