The police are searching for a man who allegedly walked up behind a woman, threatened her with a knife and then snatched her purse in Astoria on March 16.
The 36-year-old victim was walking near 38th Street when a man robbed her at about 1:30 am. The suspect displayed a knife, stole the woman’s purse and then jumped into a black vehicle.
The police did not provide the cross street.
The woman was not injured.
