Woodhaven Residents Enjoy a Queens History Lesson

Seventh-graders at St. Pancras Church in Glendale received the sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Frank Caggiano of the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens during a ceremony on Oct. 19 at the house of worship. Images of Queens past and present were displayed at a historical slideshow at Woodhaven’s Neir’s Tavern last Monday, Feb. 24. Presented by the Woodhaven Cultural and Historical Society, historian Jason Antos provided the slideshow titled “Queens: Then and Now,” which showed old Queens photos paired with contemporary photos of the same location.
