Suspect Sought For Sex Assault

Police seek the public’s help in finding a man who sexually abused a woman inside a Forest Hills apartment building last Tuesday evening, June 3.

The NYPD released last Friday, June 6, a security camera image and a sketch of the suspect.

According to law enforcement sources, the attack took place at 6:55 p.m. last Tuesday inside an apartment building in the vicinity of Queens Boulevard and 76th Road.

Reportedly, the perpetrator followed a 47-year-old woman into the building, then grabbed her from behind and sexually assaulted her.

Police said the perpetrator threw the victim to the ground, then fled from the scene.

The incident was reported to the 112th Precinct. The victim was treated at Elmhurst Hospital Center for minor injuries to her right arm and knee.

An investigation by the NYPD Queens Special Victims Squad is ongoing, police said.
