FOREST HILLS — Police were searching for a man suspected of stealing jewelry from a Forest Hills apartment last week, authorities said.
The NYPD said a 28-year-old man went into a residence on 108th Street through an unlocked and open window June 5 and took jewelry from the apartment before fleeing the scene. The residents were not home at the time of the theft, police said.
The suspect was described by authorities as a 28-year-old man wearing a multi-colored cap, shorts with reflective stripes and a long-sleeve red shirt with a backpack, police said.
