German-Americans took to the streets of Glendale Sunday afternoon, July 13, to celebrate Germany’s 1-0 win over Argentina in soccer’s World Cup Final. Extra time was needed to decide the contest, as Mario Götze scored in the 113th minute; it turned out to be the only goal Argentina gave up in the entire, month-long tournament. After enjoying the match at Zum Stammtisch restaurant in Glendale, as shown above, proud German fans waved the nation’s colors and reveled in the country’s first World Cup win since being reunified in 1990.
