Weekend Disruption On A Line In Oz. Pk.
A train service will be suspended between Rockaway Boulevard and Lefferts Boulevard this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, July 25, until 5 a.m. Monday, July 28. During this period, Howard Beach-bound and Far Rockaway-bound A trains will skip the 88th Street and Rockaway Boulevard stations.
Throughout the weekend, A trains will operate between 207th Street and either Howard Beach-JFK Airport or Mott Avenue-Far Rockaway. Shuttle buses will replace A train service in Ozone Park and operate between 80th Street and Lefferts Boulevard, stopping near each station.
Riders can transfer between A trains and the free shuttle bus at 80th Street. The buses will stop as follows:
– 80th Street-on Liberty Avenue and 80th Street;
– 88th Street (Manhattan-bound only)-on Liberty Avenue and 88th Street;
– Rockaway Boulevard-on 93rd Street at Liberty Avenue (to Lefferts Boulevard) or on Liberty Avenue at 93rd Street (to 80th Street);
– 104th Street-on Liberty Avenue at 104th Street;
– 111th Street-on Liberty Avenue at 111th Street; and
– Lefferts Boulevard-on Lefferts Boulevard at Liberty Avenue.
More Disruptions Affect The 7 Line
Manhattan-bound 7 trains will skip the 111th Street, 103rd Street, 90th Street and 82nd Street stations this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, July 25, until 5 a.m. Monday, July 28.
For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or 74th Street, then transfer to a Flushing-bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or Mets-Willets Point, then transfer to a Manhattanbound 7 train.
No Weekend N Trains Cross The East River
N train service will be suspended between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street this weekend, from 11:30 p.m. Friday, July 25, until 5 a.m. Monday, July 28.
During this period, N trains will operate in two sections; between Ditmars Boulevard and Queensboro Plaza and between Times Square- 42nd Street and Stillwell Avenue.
For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer to the 7 train at either Queensboro Plaza or Times Square-42nd Street.
N Trains Skip Stops In Astoria Weekdays
Astoria-bound N trains will skip the 39th Avenue, 36th Avenue, Broadway and 30th Avenue stations on Tuesday, July 29, through Friday, Aug. 1, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. During this period, Q trains will not operate between 57th Street and Ditmars Boulevard.
For service to the skipped stations, take the N train to Astoria Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound N train. For service from these stations, take the N train to Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to an Astoria-bound N train .
Weekday Service
Split On The L Line
L trains will operate in two sections-between Eighth Avenue and Broadway Junction and between Broadway Junction and Canarsie- Rockaway Parkway-on Thursday, July 24, and Friday, July 25, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Riders can transfer between L trains at Broadway Junction to continue their trip.
Additionally, L trains running between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway will operate every 24 minutes. Riders are advised to plan their trips accordingly.
Fastrack Program Affects E, F, M, R
The MTA’s Fastrack maintenance and repair program will hit the E, F, M and R lines in western Queens and Manhattan on Thursday, July 24, through Friday, July 25, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
E train service will be suspended between Roosevelt Avenue and World Trade Center and F trains will not operate between Roosevelt Avenue and 21st Street- Queensbridge. E trains will run local service between Roosevelt Avenue and Parsons/Archer, while F trains will instead run in two sections: between Roosevelt Avenue and 179th Street and between 21st Street- Queensbridge and Stillwell Avenue.
Additionally, service on the M line between Essex Street and 71st- Continental Avenues and the R line between Whitehall Street and 71st- Continental Avenues will end early on Thursday. M trains will continue to run between Essex Street and Metropolitan Avenue-Middle Village.
The last Middle Village-bound M train will leave 71st-Continental Avenues at 8:13 p.m., while the last Forest Hills-bound M train will leave Metropolitan Avenue at 8:08 p.m.
The last Queens-bound R train will leave Whitehall Street at 8:34 p.m., and the last Manhattan-bound R train will depart 71st-Continental Avenues at 9:33 p.m.
Free shuttle buses will provide alternate subway service between Roosevelt Avenue and Queensboro Plaza, making all local stops.
For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer to the 7 train at Queensboro Plaza or 74th Street- Roosevelt Avenue.
Late Night Local Svc. For F Line In Queens
Manhattan-bound F trains will run local service between 71st- Continental Avenues and Roosevelt Avenue on Tuesday, July 29, through Friday, Aug. 1, from 12:01 until 5 a.m. These trains will stop at 67th Avenue, 63rd Drive, Woodhaven Boulevard, Grand Avenue and Elmhurst Avenue.
Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.
Two Line Switches For R This Weekend
R trains will switch lines between DeKalb Avenue and Queens Plaza in both directions all this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, July 26-27.
These trains will run on the D line between DeKalb Avenue and Broadway-Lafayette Street and switch to the M line between Broadway- Lafayette Street and Queens Plaza. These trains will stop at 34th Street- Herald Square.
Riders are advised to plan their trips accordingly.
Weekend Local Svc. On E, F Lines In Qns.
E and F trains will operate local service between 36th Street in Queens and 71st-Continental Avenues throughout the weekend, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, July 26, until 5 a.m. Monday, July 28. This service change will be in effect the following weekend, Aug. 2-4.
Riders are advised to allow additional travel time.
Late Night Stops Skipped On E & F
Manhattan-bound F trains will skip the Sutphin Boulevard, Van Wyck Boulevard and 75th Avenue stations late nights on Monday, July 28, through Friday, Aug. 1, from 11:45 p.m. until 5 a.m. During this period, Manhattan-bound E trains will also skip the Van Wyck Boulevard stop.
For service to these stations, take the E or F train to Union Turnpike or 71st-Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E train or a Jamaicabound F train. For service from these stations, take the E train to Jamaica-Van Wyck or the F train to Union Turnpike or Parsons Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound F train.
Sandy Repairs Hit
G Line In August
As part of the MTA’s Fix & Fortify Hurricane Sandy repair program, G train service between Court Square and Nassau Avenue will be suspended beginning at 10:30 p.m. Friday night, July 25, and continuing through 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2. During this period, G trains will operate normally between Nassau Avenue and Church Avenue.
Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service on two routes. One shuttle bus will run along Manhattan Avenue between Nassau Avenue and Court Square, stopping near the closed G train stations. Another shuttle bus will run along McGuiness Boulevard between Court Square and the Lorimer Street G/L train station, making stops near G train stations.
Riders can transfer between the G train and the Manhattan Avenue shuttle bus at Greenpoint Avenue or the McGuiness Boulevard shuttle bus at the corner of Lorimer Street and Metropolitan Avenue.
Station Renewal Comes To A Line
The Ozone Park/Far Rockawaybound platform at the 88th Street station and the Ozone Park-bound platform at the 101st Street station on the A line remain shut through September as part of an ongoing station renewal project.
For service to the 88th Street station, take the A train to Rockaway Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train. For service to the 101st Street station, take a Lefferts Boulevard/Ozone Parkbound A train to 111th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train.
For service from these stations, take the A train to either Rockaway Boulevard or 80th Street, then transfer to an Ozone Park-bound or a Far Rockaway-bound A train.
