No injuries were reported after flames broke out inside a Glendale apartment last Friday afternoon, Nov. 14, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the one-alarm inferno ignited at about 3:15 p.m. on the second-floor of a three-story building on Myrtle Avenue near 62nd Street. Responding to the scene (listed in the order of arrival) were Engine companies 286, 277, 252 and 291; Squad companies 277 and 288; Ladder companies 135, 112 and 140; Rescue 4; and Battalions 28 and 37-under the direction of Division 14. Officers from the 104th Precinct and EMS units also responded. Firefighters used one hose line to bring the fire under control, it was reported.
