Turkey Bowl Time In Rockaway

Five teams participated in the second-annual Co-Ed Turkey Bowl Soccer Tournament hosted by Scholars’ Academy in the Rockaways. Kappa VI, Scholars’ Blue, Waterside, M.S. 105 and Scholars’ White all fought for the first place spot. Scholars’ Whitecame in first place going undefeated. Kappa VI came in second place and Waterside came in third. All teams showed fantastic teamwork, effort, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. A special thank you to Scholars’ Academy Athletic Director Joseph Lunati, Principal Brian O’Connell and Co-Ed Soccer Coach Melissa Pascarella for running a successful tournament. The Co-ED Turkey Bowl Tournament is part of the Peninsula Sports League and offers athletic opportunities to students across Rockaway and Queens.
