Ymca Gives Back to Ridgewood

Woodside residents dressed up their furry friends for the first Woofside Halloween Pet Parade at Doughboy Park on Saturday

The Ridgewood YMCA recently hosted a day of service made possible through a donation from entertainer and Queens native LL Cool J. As noted, the star of NCIS: Los Angeles donated 100 turkeys that were distributed at the Ridgewood Y on Nov. 22. Members of the organization’s Teen Leaders Club at Grover Cleveland High School joined YMCA staff members Shanaja Hughes and Delissa Dixon to organize the event.
