A toddler is in critical condition after a vehicle hit him in Flushing Monday afternoon, cops said.
The accident happened about 2:30 p.m. on 196th Street near Northern Boulevard, according to police.
He ran out into the middle of the road when he was struck by the Mitsubishi Outlander, cops said.
The boy was taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital with serious head trauma. He is in stable but critical condition, according to authorities.
Police said the driver remained on the scene and no criminality is suspected.
