A woman became enraged and began biting and scratching another passenger for attempting to move her bag and sit down in an empty seat on the subway.
The suspect was riding the Manhattan bound F train on August 14th at 9:45 am, when the 45-year-old victim approached her and asked her to move her bag so she could sit down. The suspect did not respond and the victim attempted to sit, when the suspect became irate, police said.
The suspect began pushing the victim, scratching her on her chest, pulling her hair and even biting her on her forearm causing a laceration and bleeding, police said.
The suspect then fled the train when it stopped at the 21st Street and Queensbridge subway station, according to the NYPD.
The victim was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in stable condition.
Police released a photo of the suspect and are asking anyone with any information to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
