An Old World beer hall is set to open on Thursday in Long Island City.

Bierocracy, located at 12-23 Jackson Avenue, will bring a Central European-style communal beer hall to the neighborhood. The 4,000-square-foot venue will seat about 200 people.

European imports will be on tap, along with local brews, ciders, and radlers, which are beers mixed with soda. Pub snacks such as pretzels and sausages will be on the menu, alongside modernized dishes inspired by Central Europe.

According to a release from the Bierocracy team, the venue specializes in “the traditional special pours of the Czech Republic,” which aim to impress “even the geekiest of beer geeks.”

These pours include “tvrdá pěna,” which creates a cloud of thick, long-lasting foam that sits on top of a lager, and “rezané pivo,” made by tapping a dark lager on top of a light pilsner, resulting in a two-toned pint.

Bierocracy will be open Monday through Wednesday 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.; Thursday 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Friday and Saturday 3 p.m. to 4 a.m. and Sunday 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.
