NYPD: Man strikes two women in head, after they refuse to hand over their property

Two women were struck in the head during an attempted robbery near 40th Avenue and 9th Street last month, according to police.

The women were walking down the street at 6:00 am, Wednesday, Oct. 28, when they were approached by a man who demanded their bags and money.

The victims, one aged 37 and the other 22, refused and the suspect struck them in the head with an unknown object causing a laceration to their foreheads. The suspect fled on foot without and property.

The women were not hospitalized as a result of the incident.

The suspect is described as a male black who was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, pants and sneakers.2921-15 Robbery 114 Pct 10-28-15 PHOTO1
