Two sought after teenagers shot on Halloween night in Rosedale

Police are looking for these two men in connection to the shooting of two teens on Halloween.

A gunman wreaked havoc on Halloween night in Rosedale, killing one teenager and leaving another in critical condition, according to police.

Officers from the 105th Precinct responded to the call of two males shot on 144th Avenue between Brookville Boulevard and 241st Street at approximately 8:53 p.m.

Upon arrival, police found one victim — identified as 19-year-old Peyton Manwaring — with a gunshot wound to the torso, and the second victim, an 18-year-old male, with gunshot wounds to leg and torso.

EMS also responded and transported both males to Jamaica Hospital, where Manwaring was pronounced dead and the second victim is listed in critical condition.

On Monday morning, police released surveillance photos of two men wanted as person of interest in the incident.

According to authorities, these two suspects — described as wearing black hooded sweatshirts — were seen following the victim immediately prior to the shooting.
