Developers are planning a new seven-story, 56-unit residence for 31st Avenue near 21st Street, according to property documents.

Construction plans have been filed with the Department of Buildings for a residence at 21-17 31st Avenue, a few blocks from Socrates Sculpture Park. The building will stand on what were formerly three separate, contiguous properties, which were all acquired by a company called 31st Avenue Associates in October.

The building will include a gym, rooftop recreation space, bike storage and parking and 28 vehicle parking spaces, according to DOB documents.

A handful of two-story commercial and residential buildings currently occupy the property. Demolition permits for these structures were filed in September.

Developers could not be reached for comment.
