The owners of a 30th Ave eatery have opened another location in the Ditmars Blvd section of the neighborhood.
Create, which opened its 36-30 30th Avenue location in 2011, started serving customers at its new restaurant at 29-21 Ditmars Blvd on Thursday.
The Ditmars eatery, which opened under the same name as the 30th Avenue venue, has a similar menu as the original location.
The restaurant offers organic and vegan items, with all the items being made on location.
The restaurant serves a variety of items including pineapple chicken, skirt steak, sandwiches, wraps and burgers. It also has a salad bar and serves breakfast items such as eggs, omelets and pancakes, similar to the original location.
“The idea is the same as the original shop,” an employee said.
The restaurant will be open from 6:30 am until 10 pm, seven days a week. It seats up to 25 people.
The location was previously Vino di Vino, a wine bar that closed in early 2014. The owner of Trattoria L’incontro ran the wine bar.
“The rent went up and I didn’t want to deal with it anymore,” said Rocco Sacramone, owner and chef, at the time of the closing.
