Police Seek Two Men Allegedly Involved in Nine Sunnyside/Woodside Burglaries in Past 3 Months

The police are searching for two men who have allegedly burglarized nine apartments throughout Sunnyside and Woodside in the past three months.

The men allegedly broke into the apartments by picking the apartment door lock before taking off with electronic equipment, jewelry and cash, police said. The incidents took place during daylight hours.

The police did not provide the exact locations of the alleged break-ins. However, the NYPD did provide some details.

The first incident took place between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm on Saturday, Oct. 3, when the suspect(s) broke into an apartment on 50th Street and fled with an Omega watch and a Samsung tablet.

The second incident took place between 3 pm and 5 pm on Sunday, Oct. 4, when the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 49th Street and took off with an Apple iPad, jewelry, $200 in cash, four cellphones and four watches.

The next break-in took place between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm on Monday, Oct. 19, when the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 53 Street and removed a Macbook Pro, a bicycle, a paycheck for $650, a necklace and multiple credit cards.

A little over two weeks later, on Wednesday, Nov. 4, the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 55th Street between 3 pm and 5 pm and took off with multiple pieces of jewelry, a Mac laptop and $12,000 in cash.

The next incident took place between 7:30 am on Nov. 5 and 12:30 am on Nov. 6 when the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 56 Street. In this case, they failed to remove any property.

On Tuesday Nov. 17, between 9:20 am and 8:00 pm, the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 47 Street and fled with an iPhone, jewelry, electronics, and $46 in cash.

A month later, on Saturday, Dec. 19, the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 49th Street between 12:30 pm and 6:30 pm and removed a Macbook, clothing, $700 in cash, and multiple pieces of jewelry.

On Tuesday, Dec. 22, between 8:45 am and 6:45 pm, the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 52 Street and removed a digital camera.

Later that day, between 2:30 pm and 3:15 pm, one of the suspects had entered an apartment on 43 Avenue when the 45 year-old female victim entered and observed him.  The suspect fled through a window and up a fire escape.  No proceeds were taken.

The suspects are described as follows:

1: Male, 50 to 60 years-old

2: Male, 40 to 45 years-old
