An Astoria real estate office infamous for its apparently shady business practices was closed by court order last month and is now available for rent.
The 950-square-foot storefront at 32-05 31st Ave. is available for $3,500 per month, according to a posting on Craigslist.
The office was closed when the Astoria Post visited on Thursday. In the window, a court order was posted noting that the landlord had taken possession of the ground-floor space.
Last year, PIX 11 investigated a complaint from two renters that Astoria First stole $5,000 for a fraudulent apartment deposit, which Astoria First then returned.
Meanwhile, nearly a dozen customers have taken to Yelp to excoriate the business for other alleged scams and poor service.
