Three men assault man while yelling ‘Isis-Isis’ in Astoria Wednesday

Police are looking for three men who allegedly punched a 19-year-old man in the face while yelling “Isis-Isis” in Astoria on Wednesday.

The NYPD released footage this morning of three men who followed the victim from behind at about 1:20 pm on Wednesday, April 27, in front of 33-55 10th Street.

The victim heard the men coming and as one of the suspects allegedly approached him he called him an Arab and punch him twice in his face, according to police.

As the victim pushed the first man away he observed a second man with a pipe in his hand who was yelling “Isis-Isis” and a third man with a baseball bat in his hands, police said.

The three suspects fled the location when they noticed a bystander watching the incident. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention, according to police.

The suspect who punched the victim in the face is described as a white male, 17-19 years old, approximately 5’9″ tall and 180 lbs, according to police.

The suspect who had the pipe in his hands and was yelling Isis is described as a white-Hispanic, 17-19 years-old, approximately 5’6″ tall and 160 lbs.

The man who allegedly had a baseball bat is described as a black-Hispanic, 18-years-old, approximately 5’9″ tall, black hair and a beard.
