Police are searching for a man who followed a 21-year-old woman into her building and tried to push his way into her apartment in the early hours Tuesday.
The suspect entered the woman’s Broadway and 36th Street building at about 1:15 am and attempted to barge his way into her apartment, according to police. The man was unsuccessful.
Police describe the suspect as a male, Hispanic, between the ages of 30 and 35. He is between 5’10” and 6’ tall, and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark colored overcoat, a light colored shirt, a backpack and a light colored shirt wrapped around his head.
Police have released a surveillance video and photo of the suspect. They are asking any one with any information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
