Meghan Trainor, a well-known singer/song writer, will take the stage on the Long Island City waterfront tonight.
Her performance will take place at Hunters Point Park South and is part of the Macy’s July 4th celebration, a well-placed source told the LIC Post. She is expected to arrive at the park at around 5pm with taping planned to take place in the early evening.
NBCUniversal employees are currently setting up the stage, which is going up adjacent to LIC Landing,
Macy’s is pre-taping Trainor’s performance for its July 4th show.
Trainor, 22, rose to fame with the release of her album Title that debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, which went on to sell over one million copies domestically.
