The police are looking for a woman who allegedly swiped an unattended wallet from a table inside the Long Island City Art Center earlier this month.
The suspect stole the 80-year-old female victim’s wallet on Monday, July 13, at around 3:35pm, according to police. The wallet included a credit card and approximately $125 in cash.
The incident took place at 44-02 23rd Street, where several neighborhood arts companies are located. This building is home to the Secret Theatre, the Long Island City Academy of Music and the LIC School of Ballet.
The suspect is described as a white female, 20 to 30 years old; last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts and white sneakers with pink shoelaces.
