Chipotle Mexican Grill will open its first location in Long Island City by the end of the month.
The Mexican food chain will open the store on the ground floor of a luxury apartment building at 26-14 Jackson Avenue on September 24.
“We chose this location because we have done well in surrounding areas and we think we will do well here too,” a spokeswoman for the company wrote in an email.
The LIC location will serve the full Chipotle food menu, but it has yet to be determined whether it will offer beer, wine and margaritas, like many of its other locations.
The LIC restaurant will employ between 25 and 30 people, and those interested in working at Chipotle can apply on the company website.
The restaurant will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
This will be the fourth Chipotle in Queens, with the others located in Jackson Heights, Forest Hills, and the Queens Center Mall.
