Police discovered a big stash of heroin in Woodside Monday after conducting a series of sting operations following the fatal overdose of a Long Island man.
Nassau County cops arrested four people after conducting three sting operations on December 26, in response to two heroin overdoses—one fatal—in Malverne, Long Island, just days before Christmas.
The police conducted a “buy” operation in Port Washington, Long Island, at 6:10 pm and were sold a quantity of heroin by Jacklyn Seitz, 21, and At Korkut, 26, both from Franklin Square, Long Island. Hours later, at 8:50 pm, in Valley Stream, Long Island, Seitz, Korkut and Scott Moser, 28, sold heroin to undercover officers.
The three were then placed under arrest, according to the Nassau County Police Dept.
They were questioned and told police that they got their heroin from a source in Woodside.
The police conducted a “buy & bust” operation at an undisclosed location in Woodside later that evening resulting in the arrest of Jemaly Thelusma, 27, of 102-21 187th Street, Hollis, Queens. At the time of his arrest he was in possession of 130 glassine envelopes of heroin, police said.
Seitz and Korkut have both been charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.
Moser has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Criminal Facilitation 4th Degree.
Thelusma has been charged with Criminal possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.
