Police are searching for a man who robbed a pharmacy and assaulted an employee in Astoria last Friday.
The suspect entered the Rite-Aid at 43-02 Ditmars Boulevard around 9 a.m., Dec. 16, and began removing merchandise from the store, according to police.
The man then pushed a 42-year-old employee to the ground as she tried to stop him from leaving with the items. The suspect fled with more than 50 tubes of toothpaste.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man around 27 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and
weighing about 185 pounds.
Police have released a photo and video of the suspect, and anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
