Local health food store Greenbay Market opened a new location on 30th Avenue last week.
The new store, located at 31-10 30th Avenue, takes over the space formerly occupied by a Rite-Aid pharmacy.
It has similar offerings to its parent store, located several blocks away at 32-06 Broadway, according to assistant store manager Alenia Reynoso.
The store primarily focuses on organic and healthy foods. It has a large produce section, a hot bar and pre-prepared food section, as well as general groceries.
Though already open, the store is not yet complete. The owners are still working to get a juice bar and a bakery running, which will open soon, Reynoso said.
“We really try to focus on organic and natural products that are high quality but without high prices,” Reynoso said.
This is the third Greenbay Market store. The store expanded across the street from its Broadway location in 2015 and opened Greenbay Essentials at 32-19 Broadway, which offers vitamins, supplements, body and beauty products and a juice bar.
