NYPD: Man steals cash from Astoria business after smashing through glass door

Police are searching for a man who broke into an Astoria salon last month and stole cash.

The suspect allegedly smashed through the glass front door at Dawa Threading Salon, located on the second floor at 31-08 30th Avenue, on December 17 around 4:00 a.m. and stole $350 from the register, according to police. The suspect, describe as a light-skinned male, then fled the scene.

Police have released a video of the suspect and anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
