After two hours of negotiations, police were able to pull a man from the ledge of a six-story apartment building in Briarwood Tuesday morning, authorities said.
According to law enforcement officials, at 7:41 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, a man was spotted on the roof of 141-30 84th Rd. Officers from the 107th Precinct and the NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit (ESU) responded to the scene.
At this time, it is not known why the man climbed up to the roof and stood on the ledge.
Officers were able to get the man off of the roof of the building at about 9:54 a.m. He was taken into custody and transported to Queens Hospital for an evaluation.
