May 11, 2017 Staff Report
Riders of the 7 train experienced delays for about an hour this morning following a truck fire that broke out near the tracks by the 33rd Street/Rawson station and then, separately, a passenger falling on the tracks at the 40th Street Lowery station.
The truck fire broke out about 11:15 am, according to the MTA, and the trains were halted as a precaution. The fire was extinguished and service resumed.
However, shortly afterward, a rider fell on the tracks at 40th Station. The rider was assisted back to the platform, although EMS is on the scene.
Manhattan-bound trains were stopped for a short period but service has now resumed.
