Work is close to being completed on a CVS pharmacy that will occupy most of the ground floor retail space at Hunters Point South Commons.
The drug store, to be located at 1-50 50th Avenue, is expected to open an 11,000 square foot store in June, according to a representative of the company.
Hunters Point is currently served by Duane Reade, located at 47-02 5th Street, as well as some independent pharmacies.
An Italian restaurant called Piatto is also moving into the ground floor of the Hunters Point South Commons building.
