Couldn’t get outside and celebrate summer on the first official day? Come out to the LIC Flea this weekend to kickoff the first official weekend of summer!
The Flea has a ton of great vendors to shop this summer. Grab a Blossom handmade scarf from Anatolico to wrap up your hair with on a hot summer day.
Summer equals sundress so pick up an embroidered cotton dress from Shop Stevie + BD. Grab a new necklace to match from makers like Soly handcrafts and De Pana Madre.
The Flea has all kinds of food to sample from young, entrepreneurial chefs and local start ups. Cool off with an Acai bowl from Acai Brazil after you chow down on the official food of summer … a Coney dog from The Coney Shack. That’s just the beginning, there’s so much more to choose from.
The Flea will have their Queens beer garden open all day so swing by, grab a few beers and lounge around on the AstroTurf. Between beers and hot dogs you can challenge your friends to a game of ping pong, corn hole or a little basketball shootoff.
The Insitu Dance Festival will be happening along the waterfront July 89 but they will be giving LIC Flea patrons a sneak peak with performances this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday. The dances are created with the site in mind so each is unique to it’s environment. Check out more about the festival at insitudancefestival.com and at LIC Flea all weekend!
Get inspired and dance your way over to Koeppel Subaru’s booth and check out their sleek new models.
