NYPD: Man steals cosmetics from Duane Reade Pharmacy in Astoria, punches employee in face

The police released a photo of a man today who allegedly stole cosmetics and then punched an employee in the face at a Duane Reade Pharmacy in Astoria last month.

The suspect allegedly entered the pharmacy located at 35-06 Broadway on Wednesday, May 17 at around 4pm and took $640 worth of cosmetics, police said.

When he exited the store he was followed by the store manager who attempted to stop him. The suspect punched the manager in the face and fled. The manager did not sustain any serious injuries, according to police.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, 30-40 years old, 140 lbs., approximately 5’5″ tall with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a green jump suit, green du-rag, black T-shirt and white sneakers.
