New York State Safe Boating Class — The class will be taught by qualified U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary instructors from Flotilla 12-01. The introductory course is designed to improve boating education for recreational boaters.

Spring Bird Walk for Beginners — Walk through APEC’s trails, accompanied by a member of the Queens County Bird Club. Try to spot the various species of birds and listen for their spring songs. Learn to use binoculars and a field guide. Attendees are asked to wear hiking shoes, sneakers and long pants. Limited to 20 participants for children ages 8 and over.
