Gun-wielding man robs Chase bank in LIC Friday

A man brandishing a gun held up a bank in Long Island City Friday and made off with $10,000 in cash, police said.

The suspect entered Chase bank at 25-15 Queens Plaza North, near 27th Street, around 5:50 p.m. and pulled out a gun and handed a note to a teller demanding money. The teller complied.

The alleged perpetrator then fled westbound on Queens Plaza North.

The suspect is described as black, and about 5 foot 4 inches tall. He was seen wearing a grey shirt, a black baseball cap and grey sweatpants.

The same bank was robbed in January.
