A craft beer bar is coming to Astoria, taking up a site that has been unoccupied since 2011.
DNA Info reports that River Crest will be the name of the bar coming to 33-15 Ditmars Boulevard, the site of the former Top Tomato, a produce market, in February 2018.
The owners, who run the One Mile House bar in Manhattan, told DNA Info that the bar will have unique high-end craft beer, along with cocktails designed by mixologists.
As far as food, the menu will have appetizers and plates that can be shared with groups, the co-owners told the news site.
The site, on the ground floor of the Acropolis building, was unused since 2011, after the Astoria Farmers Market opened for just over a year there. Prior to that, Top Tomato, the 24-hour produce market, ran the location until 2010 after opening in 1990.
