Police are looking for a crook who robbed a man of his wallet following an argument in the victim’s hotel room in Long Island City.
At 9 a.m. on Aug. 4, law enforcement sources said, a 29-year-old man got into a verbal altercation with a unidentified man that he had invited into his room at the Mayflower Howard Johnson Hotel, located at 38-59 12th St.
Following the argument, the suspect pushed the victim to the ground and took his wallet — which contained $300 in cash, 2 debit cards, a credit card holder and the victim’s identification — out of his hand. The suspect fled the location in a red Ford Focus Supercar.
The incident was reported to the 114th Precinct. The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention.
According to police, the victim had met the suspect through a friend earlier that morning and had invited him over.
The suspect is described as a black man that is 32-years-old, standing 6 feet, two inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark color pants and white sneakers.
