A man punched an MTA employee after he was told not to do pull ups on the handrails aboard the N train, police say.
At 1:10 p.m. on Aug. 9, a man was aboard a stationary N train at the Ditmars Boulevard train station doing pull ups on the train handrails when an MTA employee told him that it was inappropriate to use the handrails for that purpose, according to police.
The two began to argue until the man punched the 64-year-old male MTA employee in the face, and later fled the station.
Police have released surveillance video and photos of the suspect, who is described as having short black hair, brown eyes, a medium complexion, and between 20 to 25 years of age. He was last seen wearing a black short sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
The victim sustained small cuts on his lip, but did not have to go to the hospital, according to the NYPD.
